Former Love Island star Zara McDermott appeared to be in a tongue-in-cheek battle with her boyfriend Sam Thompson after he made a public update about their nephew
Sam Thompson is hilariously vying with his girlfriend Zara McDermott for the title of favourite relative, as he showcased his uncle skills with his nephew Leo, Louise Thompson’s son.
In a video the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star shared on Instagram, he’s seen strolling down the street with little Leo perched on his shoulders, while Strictly Come Dancing star Zara chuckles behind the camera. The footage captures a joyful Leo enjoying his ride before they make a pit stop at a florist and later hit the park for some ice cream indulgence.
The heartwarming clip concludes with an unexpected peck on the cheek from Leo to his uncle Sam, followed by the duo walking off hand-in-hand towards the park, bidding farewell to Zara from afar.
Sam, the ex-Made in Chelsea celeb, captioned the endearing video: “A wholesome bank holiday. Really feel like me and my nephew are becoming best mates and it makes me so happy. There’s nothing like it.”, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Zara, the Love Island alum, was quick to stake her claim, playfully retorting: “No he’s MY best mate.” And it seems Louise is siding with Zara, as she chimed in with: “It’s true!”.
