In a scene on ITV’s Lorraine, Wednesday’s episode found Christine Lampard stepping in for host Lorraine Kelly, who is enjoying a lengthy summer break.

The studio erupted in laughter when Christine confessed: “Well I was about to explain how I was kept up by the dog and my three-year-old was there but anyway the counselling session ends here.”

As Craig proceeded to discuss the main stories for the day, Josie chimed in with: “We hope you sleep better tonight Christine.”

Christine quickly retorted: “Well I’m sorry, I didn’t realise it was a rhetorical question. I’ll just offload all my issues to you after the show.”
