Splashed with wine by two A-list stars at a US business event, Meghan Markle faces Hollywood’s b.u.l.l.y.i.n.g attitude and America’s view of her as “trash.”

Meghan Markle was brutally “snubbed” by two Hollywood A-listers at a business event in the US last month, a source has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, had been attending the all-female G9 Ventures Summer Summit when she encountered the well-known celebrities, but they “simply ignored her”.

She had been attempting to revitalise her “public image” as part of her ongoing efforts to move into charity work.

However, it marks Meghan’s “last chance” to rekindle her future in Hollywood, according to the source.

They told Heat magazine: “With recent ventures seemingly falling flat.

Meghan’s decided that becoming a philanthropist and throwing herself into charity work is the best way to salvage her public image.

“If there’s any glimmer of a future in Hollywood, this is the last chance.” However, the source claimed that megastars Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow “snubbed” the Duchess of Sussex during the event.

They continued: “She was gutted when they simply ignored her. She was hoping the summit would be an opportunity for her to try to make some A-list connections.”

Meghan had a “real wake-up call” when she realised that those who were “in awe” of her royal links now “wouldn’t give her the time of day”, the source claimed.

It follows reports that the Duchess has become concerned that the US elite has been “distancing themselves” from Prince Harry and Meghan.

In July, Meghan was spotted wearing a tracksuit from Beyoncé’s Ivy Park brand while shooting a Netflix series in Beverly Hills Park.

A source told Heat magazine that this was an attempt by Meghan to “highlight her connection” to the singer and let her know that they’re “still friends”.

The Sussexes have launched a number of projects this year, including Netflix shows on cooking and polo, a podcast with Lemonada Media and American Riviera Orchard.

Despite this, the couple landed criticism this month, with a royal commentator saying their plan has run into “serious trouble”. Tom Quinn told the Mirror that Harry has “never had any real idea” about becoming an entrepreneur or a businessman.
