Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are said to have stopped speaking to each other following reports they are divorcing.
The pair have sparked fierce split rumours after not being seen together in months and things reportedly got worse for the couple when Ben splashed his cash on JLo’s birthday.
She celebrated her big day without the 51-year-old actor, who purchased a new $20.5million home in Pacific Palisades, dubbed a ‘bachelor pad’.
Recent reports have claimed that Good Will Hunting actor Ben and singer JLo, 55, are going ahead with their divorce after trying for several weeks to work things out between them.
Ben and Jen rekindled their romance in 2021, 17 years after they called off their first engagement. T he couple publicly listed their shared Beverly Hills mansion for a whopping $68 million in recent months.
Their divorce documents are said to be ‘finalized, but not yet turned in’. It has since been claimed the pair have cut ties with each other completely as they have stopped talking. The recent development has reportedly added more strain as they try to reach an agreement.
According to TMZ, Ben and JLo are refusing to talk in person or over the phone. They claimed the stars are yet to enlist the help of lawyers and have instead gone through their respective business managers. However, they are said to be planning to hire divorce lawyers after they reach a settlement.
Last week a source told MailOnline : “They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them. At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn’t.” According to the sources, the couple couldn’t ‘come to a compromise’.
Ben and Jennifer recently spent their second wedding anniversary apart and are said to be living in separate homes. The actor looked annoyed with his wife’s decision to spend their anniversary without him. He was snapped by photographers in L.A and looked extremely miffed while the Hustlers star was seen on the other side of the country, cycling, with a huge grin on her face.
Jennifer is said to have stayed in their marital home, while Ben has been living in a $100,000 a month rental. The singer, who turned 55 last week, also spent her birthday without Ben as she partied in her lavish Hamptons home. She threw herself a huge Bridgerton style birthday party, yet Ben was nowhere to be seen as he remained in Los Angeles. J-Lo is said to have been “horrified” after discovering Ben had reportedly cleared out his belongings from their shared home.
