A hearing on Monday for Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to drop her dad’s famous last name was postponed for technical reasons.
The name change for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter “was delayed because the court did not correctly finish the necessary background check,” a source told Page Six.
Shiloh’s lawyer, Peter Levine, told us in a statement, “Unfortunately, the court was unable to complete the background check ahead of today’s hearing, so the hearing was rescheduled for August 19.”
The attorney added, “It’s normal for name-change requests to require a background check. Due to a clerical error, Shiloh’s hearing has been rescheduled.”
